IPO price = the opening price PSX set in its listing notice (the strike price from book building). Day one = first session's close against that price. Latest = last end-of-day close; returns ignore dividends. Source: PSX exchange notices, checked every few hours.
Book building. About 75% of the shares go to institutions and big investors, who bid over two days at or above the floor price and within the price band. The strike price is set where the shares are fully covered.
Public subscription. The remaining 25% is offered to everyone at the strike price a few days later, through your broker, bank or PSX's eIPO system. If it is oversubscribed, shares are allotted pro rata.
Listing. Trading starts a week or two later, with normal circuit breakers around the opening price. Read the prospectus first: new listings can fall as easily as they rise. More: corporate events · how to start investing · brokers.
