- What does the PSX Market X-Ray show?
- Every liquid Pakistan Stock Exchange share on one chart. Each thin line is one stock's move through the session in % from its previous close: green if it is up now, red if it is down. The blue line is the KSE-100. The left column ranks sectors from best to worst, the strip on top shows where every stock sits right now, and the 8 strongest and 8 weakest shares fan out to cards on the right.
- Is it live, and when does it update?
- Yes, during PSX market hours: Monday to Thursday 09:15 to 15:50 and Friday 09:00 to 16:35 Pakistan time (PKT), including the pre-open and the close. Each stock's position is recorded once a minute and the page refreshes every 30 seconds while the market is open. Outside those hours it shows the last session. Prices come from the PSX Data Portal and can be a little delayed.
- What does market breadth mean?
- Breadth counts how many stocks are rising against how many are falling. If the KSE-100 is up but most lines are red, a few heavyweights are carrying the index. If most lines are green and the bullish count is far above the bearish one, the rally is broad. The histogram on top shows how many stocks sit at each level of gain or loss.
- Is the X-Ray a buy or sell signal?
- No. It shows what has already happened in today's session, for learning how the market moves. A stock at the top has already risen, so buying it is a separate decision. It is not investment advice; do your own research or speak to a licensed adviser.
