2. 0:14Ye hai lecture number seven, aur yahan se Module two shuru hota hai. Aaj hum seekhenge market aur limit order ka farq, lots, aur ek trade ke saare charges. This is lecture seven, and Module two starts here. Today we learn the difference between market and limit orders, lots, and all the charges on a trade.
3. 0:23Market order kehta hai: abhi best available price par khareed lo. Busy stocks mein ye foran fill hota hai, lekin price aapke control mein nahi. Kam trade hone wale stock mein zyada de sakte hain.A market order says: buy now at the best available price. In busy stocks it fills instantly, but you don't control the price. In a thinly traded stock you may pay more.
4. 0:36Limit order kehta hai: sirf meri price ya us se behtar. Price aapke control mein hai, lekin price wahan tak na aaye to order fill nahi hota. Beginners ke liye ye zyada safe default hai.A limit order says: only at my price or better. You control the price, but if the price never gets there, the order doesn't fill. For beginners it is the safer default.
5. 0:49Lots: pehle shares fixed lots mein bikte thay. April twenty twenty four se regular market mein one-share lot hai, yaani aap sirf ek share bhi khareed sakte hain.Lots: shares used to trade in fixed lots. Since April 2024 the regular market uses a one-share lot, so you can buy even a single share.
6. 1:03Har stock ka daily circuit breaker hai: previous close se ten percent upar ya neeche, ya ek rupay, jo zyada ho. Limit par stock lock ho jaata hai, aur khareedna ya bechna mushkil. Each stock has a daily circuit breaker: 10% above or below the previous close, or Rs 1, whichever is greater. At the limit the stock locks, and buying or selling gets hard.
7. 1:16Order fill hone ke baad settlement hoti hai. Nine February twenty twenty six se PSX T+1 par hai: Monday ko khareeda, to Tuesday ko shares CDC sub-account mein. After an order fills comes settlement. Since 9 February 2026 PSX is on T+1: buy on Monday, and the shares reach your CDC sub-account on Tuesday.
8. 1:31Har trade par share price ke ilawa costs hain: broker commission, exchange, clearing aur CDC fees, aur sales tax. Broker ka contract note har charge dikhata hai.Every trade has costs on top of the share price: broker commission, exchange, clearing and CDC fees, and sales tax. The broker's contract note shows every charge.
9. 1:44Ab danioPSX ka brokerage calculator dekhte hain. Shares ki tadaad, buy price aur sell price dalein, aur ye batata hai ke trade ki asal cost kya hai.Now let's look at the danioPSX brokerage calculator. Enter the number of shares, the buy price and the sell price, and it shows what the trade really costs.
10. 1:56Commission ka PSX floor point one five percent ya teen paisa fi share hai, jo zyada ho. Kai brokers zyada lete hain. Province bhi chunein, kyun ke sales tax us par depend karta hai.PSX's commission floor is 0.15% or 3 paisa a share, whichever is higher. Many brokers charge more. Choose your province too, because sales tax depends on it.
11. 2:11Table mein buy aur sell dono taraf ke charges hain: commission, sales tax, PSX fee, SECP levy, NCCPL aur CDC fee. Neeche total charges aur unka percentage. The table shows charges on both the buy and the sell: commission, sales tax, PSX fee, SECP levy, NCCPL and CDC fees. Below are the total charges and their percentage.
12. 2:24Aur sab se kaam ki cheez: break-even sell price. Is price par bechne se, dono taraf ke charges ke baad, aapka lagaya hua paisa bas wapis aata hai.And the most useful line: the break-even sell price. Selling at this price, after charges on both sides, just gives back what you paid.
13. 2:34To aaj humne seekha: limit order safe default hai, ek share bhi khareed sakte hain, aur charges aur break-even pehle check karein. Homework: calculator mein apne broker ka commission daal kar break-even dekhein. So today we learned: a limit order is the safe default, you can buy even one share, and check charges and break-even first. Homework: enter your broker's commission in the calculator and see your break-even.
