3. 0:25PSX par har listed company ko har quarter apne results publish karne hote hain. Ye announcements prices ko move karti hain, kabhi kabhi bohat tezi se. Bas chand numbers samajhne hain.Every company listed on PSX must publish its results every quarter. These announcements move prices, sometimes sharply. You only need to understand a handful of numbers.
4. 0:42Results notice mein hota hai: kaun sa period, revenue, costs, profit after tax, EPS, aur agar koi dividend, bonus ya rights declare hua, to uski book closure dates. Hamesha pichle saal ke isi period se compare karein.A results notice has: the period covered, revenue, costs, profit after tax, EPS, and any dividend, bonus or rights issue declared, with its book closure dates. Always compare with the same period last year.
5. 0:58Pehla number revenue, yaani sales. Check karein ke growth sirf inflation to nahi. Agar prices eleven percent barhein aur revenue eight percent, to company ne asal mein kam becha. The first number is revenue, meaning sales. Check that the growth is not just inflation. If prices rose eleven percent and revenue eight percent, the company actually sold less.
6. 1:13Profit after tax sab se important number hai: costs, interest aur tax ke baad shareholders ke liye jo bachta hai. One-off gains par nazar rakhein.Profit after tax is the most important number: what is left for shareholders after costs, interest and taxes. Watch out for one-off gains.
7. 1:24EPS yaani earnings per share: profit after tax ko shares ki tadaad se divide karein. Das billion profit aur paanch sau million shares hon, to EPS twenty rupay hai.EPS means earnings per share: profit after tax divided by the number of shares. With ten billion in profit and five hundred million shares, EPS is twenty rupees.
8. 1:41Payout ratio batata hai profit ka kitna hissa dividend mein diya. EPS twenty aur dividend twelve rupay ho, to payout sixty percent. Hundred percent ke qareeb ho to shayad sustainable nahi. The payout ratio tells you how much of the profit was paid as dividend. With EPS of twenty and a dividend of twelve rupees, the payout is sixty percent. Close to a hundred percent may not be sustainable.
9. 1:55Aur price results par expectations ke hisaab se move karti hai. Thirty percent growth ki umeed ho aur twenty percent aaye, to achay results par bhi price gir sakti hai.And the price moves on results against expectations. If thirty percent growth was expected and twenty percent came, the price can fall even on good results.
