2. 0:14Ye hai lecture number nine. Aaj hum seekhenge index kya hota hai, KSE-100 aur KMI-30 kya hain, aur kaun se stocks index ko hilaate hain. This is lecture nine. Today we learn what an index is, what the KSE-100 and KMI-30 are, and which stocks move the index.
3. 0:22Index ek number hai jo shares ki basket ko track karta hai. Sau prices ke bajaye ek index dekh kar pata chal jata hai ke market ka din acha tha ya bura.An index is one number that tracks a basket of shares. Instead of a hundred prices, one look at an index tells you whether the market had a good or bad day.
4. 0:37Zyada tar PSX indices free-float market cap se weighted hain. Matlab badi companies index ko zyada move karti hain, aur sirf public trading wale shares count hote hain. Most PSX indices are weighted by free-float market cap. That means big companies move the index more, and only shares available for public trading count.
5. 0:50KSE-100 main benchmark hai. Har sector ki sab se badi company ko jagah milti hai, baaqi jagah overall sab se badi companies ko. List saal mein do baar review hoti hai.The KSE-100 is the main benchmark. The largest company from each sector gets a place, the rest go to the biggest companies overall. The list is reviewed twice a year.
6. 1:07KSE-30 mein thirty bade aur active stocks hain. Iska khaas kaam: agar ye five percent upar ya neeche jaye aur five minute wahan rahe, to poori market mein trading kuch der ruk jaati hai.The KSE-30 holds thirty large, active stocks. Its special job: if it moves five percent up or down and stays there for five minutes, trading stops across the whole market for a while.
7. 1:25KMI-30 thirty sab se bade aur liquid Shariah-compliant companies ko track karta hai. Pehle Shariah screening pass karni hoti hai: halal business, aur debt aur income ke tests. The KMI-30 tracks the thirty largest, most liquid Shariah-compliant companies. It must first pass Shariah screening: a halal business, plus tests on debt and income.
8. 1:40PSX Dividend 20 high dividend wali twenty companies ko track karta hai. Aur sector indices, jaise banks ka BKTI aur oil and gas ka OGTI, batate hain ke market ka kaun sa hissa move kar raha hai.The PSX Dividend 20 tracks twenty high-dividend companies. And sector indices, like BKTI for banks and OGTI for oil and gas, show which part of the market is moving.
9. 1:57Ab danioPSX ka indices page dekhte hain. Yahan har index ek table mein hai. Alag indices ke levels aapas mein compare na karein, sirf percent change compare karein. Now let's look at the danioPSX indices page. Every index is in one table here. Don't compare the levels of different indices with each other; compare only the percent change.
10. 2:11Kisi bhi index ko kholein. KSE-100 ke page par aaj ka level, kitne stocks rising aur kitne falling, aur top ten companies ka weight hai.Open any index. The KSE-100 page shows today's level, how many stocks are rising and falling, and the weight of the top ten companies.
11. 2:22Ye section sab se kaam ka hai. Ek taraf woh stocks jinhon ne sab se zyada points add kiye, doosri taraf jinhon ne sab se zyada points kam kiye. This section is the most useful. On one side, the stocks that added the most points; on the other, the ones that took away the most.
12. 2:33Neeche sector weights, phir sab companies ki list, har ek ka weight aur index points. Is se samajh aata hai ke badi companies index ko zyada kyun hilaati hain.Below are the sector weights, then all the companies with each one's weight and index points. This shows why big companies move the index more.
